Faculty Meet on Future Trends in Manufacturing – Automation, Robotics and Industry 4.0

Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) conducted interactive sessions on the future trends in manufacturing on two consecutive days. The first meet was held at KLE Technological University, Hubli on 7th November 2019 and the second meet was held at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belgaum on 8th November 2019.

On 7th November 2019, the interactive meet was organised at KLE Technological University in Hubli. Dr. Kottur Shettar, Head of the Mechanical Department delivered the welcome address.   Mr. Vikram Sirur, Past President – IMTMA delivered the inaugural address and introduced the Association to the audience. Mr. M. Krishnamoorthy, Senior Director, IMTMA delivered the session on the technical aspects of “Future Trends in Manufacturing – Automation, Robotics, and Industry4.0” and highlighted IMTMA’s training initiatives/training facilities. The meet was well received by more than 40 faculty members from KLE Technological University, KLE Institute of Technology and AGMR College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli.

The next day, on 8th November 2019, a half-day interactive meet on “Future Trends in Manufacturing – Automation, Robotics, and Industry4.0” was organized at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belgaum. Dr. Vijay Majali, HOD Mechanical, and Dr. Jayant Kittur, Professor from the mechanical department welcomed the audience. The program was well-received by about 25 faculty / Industry professionals from KLS Gogte Institute, Jain College of Engineering, KLE & MSSCET, CTPL, and Vega Auto Access.
